“Voodoo is not gonna help you my son” Magomed Ankalaev Vows To Finish Alex Pereira

Alex Pereira vs Khalil Rountree Jr.

One of the most active fighters on the UFC roster, Alex Pereira, had a phenomenal year with three title defenses in a single year, and all of them ended in a finish; nothing could be better for a champion, but the Brazilian also got backlash for allegedly avoiding number one light-heavyweight contender Magomed Ankalaev who fought at UFC 308 against Alexander Rakic and won it by unanimous decision. Ankalaev deserved to be the next opponent of Alex Pereira at UFC 307, but UFC put Khalil Rountree Jr to the task whom “Poatan” finished in the 4th round with UFC actively looking for a main event for UFC 310, rumors about Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev to headline the event intensified.

Some sources revealed that Alex wouldn’t step into the octagon for the rest of the year as he needs recovery, but Magomed Ankalaev wants to step in as the replacement for the UFC 310 main event, which got canceled due to the pull-out of the Welterweight champion Belal Muhammad owing to a bone infection on his toes. Ankalaev accused Pereira of ducking him and vowed to finish him if they fight next. Taking a dig at Alex Pereira’s pre-fight rituals, Ankalaev said that rituals won’t stop him from finishing the champion.

“Focus on MMA, voodoo is not gonna help you my son. I promise all my friends I’m going to punish this guy I will knock him out Inshallah.”

Ankalaev said

Welterweight fighters Ian Garry and Joaquin Buckley showed interest in fighting Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310, but so far, it is not official who is going to headline the event scheduled for December 7th, 2024. Though there are many options, who will fit as a perfect headliner for the event is yet to be confirmed.
