Dabang Delhi vs Gujarat Giants: Dabang Delhi won their last league match of Pro Kabaddi League season 11 to become the 2nd semi-finalist of the season. In the match 129th at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune, Dabang Delhi defeated Gujarat Giants by 14 points.
Gujarat Giants started strong in the first half of the match, with both raiders and defenders doing well on the mat. In the first few minutes of the game, Jitender Yadav tackled Ashu Malik, and then the Raiders of Gujarat Giants did the rest of the work and inflicted the first all-out of the match on Dabang Delhi. In the first 10 minutes of the game, Giants were leading the scoreline by 10-5.
With the revival of Dabang Delhi’s full squad on the mat, Ashu Malik took charge and started scoring raid points. In the 14th minute of the game, the star raider of Dabang Delhi scored a super raid, picked up 4 points to equalize the scoreline 12-12, and took the lead by inflicting an all-out on Gujarat Giants. Delhi lead the scoreline by 3 points at the end of the first half.
At the start of the second half, Ashu Malik continued his brilliant form and scored points in his raids. Though he was getting less support from Naveen Kumar, he kept going and scored his Super-10. Meanwhile, the Giants also started closing the points gap, with their defenders doing well against Naveen Kumar, tackling him multiple times during super tackle situations.
Due to Ashu Malik’s constant pressure in raids, Dabang Delhi inflicted another all-out on Gujarat and maintained a comfortable lead over them till the final whistle of the match. The scoreline at the end of the game was 45-31.
