Heinrich Klaasen hit a few shots, but GT’s bowlers looked unstoppable. Siraj picked 4 wickets in the match to restrict SRH to 152 runs at the end of 20 overs.
Chasing the target of 153 runs, GT, lost Sai Sudharshan early in the powerplay. Jos Buttler was the next to get dismissed. SRH bowlers were on fire, but skipper Shubman Gill kept his calm and built the partnership with Washington Sundar for the 3rd wicket. Unfortunately, Washington Sundar couldn’t complete his fifty as he got caught at 49 runs. Shubman Gill hit his fifty. Impact substitute Sherfane Rutherford rushed his team to the target, ending it in 16.4 overs.
