Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants will play their first match of the TATA IPL 2025 at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Newly appointed captains will lead the teams, with Rishabh Pant moving from Delhi Capitals to captain the LSG this season and KL Rahul moving to Delhi Capitals. Though the latter won’t be leading the DC squad as Axar Patel is the new captain, it will be interesting to see who will get the better of whom during the match.
It is still not confirmed whether KL Rahul will be playing the first few matches as his wife Athiya Shetty is expecting a baby soon, so it is likely that the wicket-keeper batter won’t be available for the first few games of this season.
