“Can this guy get any better?” Ollie Robinson Special Praise For This Indian Bowler

Jasprit Bumrah added another name to his fan list, as Ollie Robinson is in complete awe of India's pacer. 

England and India are going for the third test match in the series to be played at Rajkot from tomorrow onwards. The series has been 1-1 as of now, with the host winning the second test match. India’s bowlers, especially Jasprit Bumrah, who was phenomenal in the second test match, taking a total of nine wickets. He took six wickets in the first and three wickets in the second to help his team register a 106-run victory over England. Jasprit Bumrah was named player of the match for his impressive performance in the second test match. Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling class made Ollie Robinson his fan, the England’s all-rounder called Bumrah “The Best bowler in the World”. 

Ollie Robinson, who was part of England’s announced squad against India, hasn’t played in either of the two test matches due to visa issues. Praising Jasprit Bumrah’s exceptional delivery to dismiss Ollie Pope, who was the hero of the first test for England, and then the variation in the pace to send Ben Foakes back to the pavilion was a sight to hold for Ollie Robinson, who was praising Bumrah. 

Jasprit Bumrah has been crazy good I must have said, ‘This bloke’s the best bowler in the world,’ ten times in Vizag. The way he got Pope out, I was like, ‘Oh my, this guy’s a joke.’ And then he got Foakes out with a slower ball and I’m like, ‘Oh my goodness, can this guy get any better?’ You watch him and you think, ‘Wow, he’s good.’ And then there’s something else where you think, ‘He’s amazing, can he do anything more?'”

Ollie Robinson was amazed with the skillset of the Indian bowler, especially when he dismissed Ben Foakes with the slower delivery. England’s bowler didn’t anticipate that Jasprit would utilize his T20 bowling skills to get a wicket in test cricket. 

“I practice smashing top-of-off stuff and trying to move the ball either way. I’ve never really thought about using my T20 skills in a Test match that often. I actually practiced the slower ball that Chris Woakes bowls – not the knuckleball, the one where you lock your wrist and come under it a little bit slower – with Paul Collingwood in Vizag after watching what Bumrah was producing.
