The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly planning to release Ishan Kishan from his international contract

Ishan Kishan might be out of the BCCI contract if he does not appear for his state team, Jharkhand, against Rajashtan In a league-stage match.

Ishan Kishan is in big trouble now after walking out of the team in the middle of the series and then not coming for practice for his state Jharkhand team even after being asked to report the state team. However, recently, it was known that he did not travel to any place because he had Travel Fatigue, which was the reason for his withdrawal from the test squad in South Africa.

BCCI Contract Rules And Regulation

If a player is under a BCCI contract, then he needs to follow the instructions of the board, which many people failed to do so in the past, and this time, it is Ishan Kishan who is not following the order of the BCCI. Ishan Kishan was seen doing practice with Hardik Pandya in Mumbai for the upcoming IPL 2024 season, but if a player is under a contract with BCCI, then that player needs to play some number of Domestic matches for his state team.

BCCI told Kishan to report on the February 15th, 2024, League stage match against Rajasthan, or else his contract could be under threat, and there is a chance that BCCI will release him.

The decision-makers in BCCI are well aware that some players don’t want to play any red ball cricket. If they are out of the Indian team, they would at best play a few Mushtaq Ali T20 games and then not report for state team duty during red ball season, To rein in such players, the board in all likelihood will make it mandatory to play 3-4 Ranji Trophy games, failing which, they can’t play IPL or even appear in IPL auction if released by their franchise. The state units feel unless the diktat comes from the top of BCCI, some of the young stars will treat Ranji Trophy with disdain,
