Mazandarani Returns to U Mumba Alongside New Coaching Additions

Mazandarani, who led U Mumba to the playoffs in 2018, is making a comeback to the team, joined by debutant coach Suthar. The experienced Indian Kabaddi legend Jeeva Kumar has also been welcomed as the Defensive coach. Notably, Mazandarani currently holds the position of head coach for Iran’s national Kabaddi team, with a remarkable achievement of guiding them to an Asian Games Gold in 2018, a victory that saw them surpass even India.
With a diverse sporting background encompassing freestyle wrestling, Judo, and Kabaddi, Mazandarani stands out as one of the world’s most skilled minds in Kabaddi. His association with U Mumba dates back to Season 6, when he became the Pro Kabaddi League’s (PKL) first international coach, marking a significant step forward for the league’s global reach.
Jeeva Kumar, a former U Mumba player and an esteemed figure in Indian Kabaddi, has taken on the role of Defensive coach. His experience and prowess are anticipated to contribute significantly to U Mumba’s strategies and player development.
Suhail Chandhok, CEO of U Mumba, expressed his enthusiasm about the coaching appointments, highlighting the team’s excitement to welcome back Mazandarani, introduce Suthar, and reunite with Jeeva Kumar. He emphasized the proven success of coaching duos that have guided teams to triumphs in the league over the years.
As U Mumba gears up for the upcoming kabaddi season, the coaching lineup’s blend of experience, international expertise, and homegrown talent sets the stage for a dynamic and strategic approach. The combined efforts of Mazandarani, Suthar, and Jeeva Kumar are expected to shape U Mumba’s performance and aspirations on the kabaddi arena.
