Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Bengaluru Bulls: The Jaipur Pink Panthers kept their playoff hopes alive by winning the match 118th of the PKL season 11. It was a must-win game for the two-time champions, and they delivered by defeating the Bulls, who are already out of the Playoff race.
The start was good for Bengaluru Bulls, as Pardeep Narwal scored a point in his first raid. From Jaipur’s side, Arjun Deshwal scored his team’s first point. The latter has been his side’s lead raider, and he continued doing that in this match as well. Pardeep Narwal, on the other hand, was tackled by Jaipur’s defense during the first half, as the Bulls were lagging on the scoreboard.
It was Ajinkya Pawar who took the command of raiding in his hand and started scoring points for his team. At the end of the first half, the scoreline was 11-15, with Jaipur leading the chart by 4 points.
At the start of the second half, the Bulls were down to two men, but a super tackle by Arulnanthababu and Nitin Rawal kept the Bulls on the mat. Ajinkya Pawar scored a point in a do-or-die raid, and with 15 minutes to go in the second half, the Bulls equaled the scoreline. It was Arjun Deshwal’s super raid in the 10th minute that not only brought his team into the lead but also helped the Panthers inflict the first all-out on the Bulls.
Though the Panthers failed to inflict another all-out on the Bulls, as in the final seconds of the game, Arjun Deshwal got super tackled. He managed to score 17 points in the game and took his team to a comfortable victory, with the scoreline standing at 35-26.
