The start of the first half wasn’t good for Puneri Paltan, as Pankaj Mohite got tackled in the game’s first raid. Aryavardhan Navale came to the rescue and picked up points in raids to get his team on the board. Soon, Pune’s defense started contributing as Gaurav Khatri tackled multiple raiders of Tamil Thalaivas; the combined effort of defense and raiding department helped Pune inflict the first all-out of the game on Thalaivas in the 6th minute of the first half.
With 10 minutes remaining of the first half, Aryavardhan Navale’s super raid helped his team inflict a second-all-out on Tamil Thalaivas as Pune led the scoreline by the end of the first half with 28-13.
The second half’s start wasn’t as aggressive from both teams as the first half started playing on do-or-die raids. Defense from both sides was giving hard times to the raiders. Though Aryavardhan Navale completed his Super-10, it didn’t come easily, as Tamil Thalaivas’ defenders tackled him multiple times during the second half.
Himanshu from Thalaivas scored 7 raid points and tried closing the points gap, but the lack of support from other raiders and Pune’s strong defense kept the home team in the lead. At the end of the game, Puneri Paltan was in the lead by 10 points, and the match ended with the scoreline standing at 42-32.
