Patna Pirates slipped to the second last slot in the points table after getting a loss against Telugu Titans in match 22 of the Pro Kabaddi League 2024. Telugu Titans’ captain Pawan Sehrawat took his team to the winning ways after three consecutive losses in their home games. However, the first raid of the match for Telugu Titans didn’t go their way as a high-flyer got tackled by Patna Pirates they managed to turn the tides later in the game. Patna’s defenders and raiders kept scoring points; in the first half of the match, they were leading the scorecard by 3 points, with the scores standing at 13-10.
After the first half, Ashish Narwal of Telugu Titans took the command of raiding in his hands as Pawan Sehrawat struggled against Patna’s defense. Telugu Titans were fighting toe-to-toe with Patna Pirates, and soon, Patna Pirates started lagging in numbers as the defense of Titans wasn’t letting the raiders of the opposition score points. In the game’s last three minutes, Ashish Narwal scored a super raid to take his team in the lead. Patna Pirates’ Devank countered the super raid with a super raid of his own as both teams once again were on level. Vijay Malik got a point in the last seconds of the match, which took his team to a 2-point victory over Patna Pirates.
