Dabang Delhi vs Bengal Warriorz: Dabang Delhi reached 2nd on the points table with the victory over Bengal Warriorz in the match 115th of the PKL 11 with the win they became second team so far to qualify for the playoffs.
From the first whistle of the first half, Ashu Malik was straight to business and brought the first raid point for his team. Bengal’s start was also good as raider Vishwas got the first raid point for his team. Soon, Bengal’s defenders dashed out Ashu Malik to bring down the point deficit. From Delhi’s side, Yogesh was doing well in defense as Delhi was leading the scoreline. Naveen Kumar joined Ashu Malik to put pressure on Bengal. Ashu Malik’s super raid sent top defenders Fazel Atrachali and Nitesh Kumar of the Bengal off the mat, which helped Delhi inflict the first all-out on Warriorz in the 7th minute of the first half. It was all going Delhi’s way, as Naveen Kumar also got a point in defense. Dabang Delhi was leading the scoreline with 26-9 at the end of the first half.
The second half didn’t start well for Bengal Warriorz as they got all-out again. It was another super raid from Ashu Malik that further increased Delhi’s lead. Bengal Warriorz showed some grit to down Delhi to just 2 men but Dabang Delhi’s defender Yogesh Dahiya did a super tackle and brought players back on the mat. In the game’s final seconds, the Warriorz tried hard to inflict an all-out, but defenders didn’t let that happen as Delhi won the match by 22 points.
