In a thrilling showdown in Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 (PKL 10), Haryana Steelers delivered a spectacular performance, overpowering Tamil Thalaivas 36-31 on Sunday. Star raider Vinay stole the spotlight with a Super 10, securing 10 crucial raid points, while defender Rahul Sethpal contributed 5 tackle points in the victory.
The encounter kicked off with both teams engaging in a neck-to-neck battle, locked at 3-3 in the 4th minute. K. Prapanjan’s brilliant raid and Jaideep Dahiya’s tackle on Ajinkya Pawar tilted the balance in favor of the Steelers at 5-3. Despite Narender’s double-point raid leveling the scores at 8-8, Vinay’s double-point raid and an ensuing ALL OUT propelled the Haryana Steelers to a commanding 17-8 lead.
Chandran Ranjit’s Super Raid further extended the Steelers’ dominance, reaching 22-10 by the 19th minute. Although Ajinkya Pawar managed to catch out Jaideep Dahiya and Mohit Nandal, the Steelers maintained a substantial lead at 22-12 by halftime.
Vinay continued his stellar performance in the second half, securing critical raid points. Despite the Thalaivas’ efforts, including Mohammadreza Kaboudrahangi’s SUPER TACKLE and Nitin Singh’s raid, Vinay’s consistent scoring kept the Steelers comfortably ahead at 29-19 by the 32nd minute.
Vishal Chahal and Mohit’s efforts narrowed the gap to 29-24, but Rahul Sethpal’s crucial tackle on Ajinkya Pawar ensured the Steelers continued to forge ahead. Despite a late ALL OUT inflicted by the Thalaivas, the Steelers had already sealed the deal, securing a well-deserved 36-31 victory.
The commanding performance by Vinay and the collective efforts of the Haryana Steelers showcase their determination in the early stages of PKL Season 10.
