“He Gave Me His Word; He Has To Answer For That.” Khamzat Chimaev Frustrated With Dana White

Khamzat Chimaev calls BS on UFC president Dana White for not keeping his title-shot promise.

New UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis called out Israel Adesanya after winning the five-round title fight against Sean Strickland at UFC 297, but Khamzat Chimaev wants to get the opportunity next and is frustrated with UFC CEO Dana White, who promised him to get the next title shot. Khamzat Chimaev and Kumaru Usman had a three-round fight at UFC 294 where the former defeated the latter via a unanimous decision. As Dana White said before this middleweight fight that the winner would be the next to get his hands on the title, Khamzat Chimaev should be fighting next to Dricus du Plessis, but Dana White has taken a U-turn from his promise.

During his recent interview, Khamzat Chimaev criticized Dana White for not respecting his own words about giving the winner the next title shot.

All these guys have fought each other, and only me is undefeated, undisputed, 13-0. They promised me, that after the Usman fight, I will for sure fight for the title. I won that fight, so I don’t know what’s going on. I heard Dana White say, ‘I don’t think Khamzat is next for the title.’ That’s bullsh*t, man. If you promise me something, you have to answer it.”

Khamzat Chimaev said

Khamzat remained out of action following his fight with Kumaru Usman due to the hand injury he sustained during the fight. He also shared pictures on social media regarding his bad health condition after the fight, but so far he has recovered from the injury, and now he is back to training and waiting for his next fight. Surprisingly, fans saw him only once in the octagon last year, and as of now there is no new announcement as such about his next fight.
