Haley J, also known as “Hollyhood,” an emerging star from Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) who recently gained attention after her appearance in Netflix’s documentary series “The Wrestlers,” has faced a setback in her wrestling journey. Reports suggest that her scheduled WWE tryout has been canceled due to issues with her medical paperwork.

The tryout, organized by WWE in Orlando, featured 12 wrestlers, including notable talents like Jay Malachi, Copeland Barbee, Fit Finlay’s son Brogan, and Valentina Rossi. Unfortunately, Haley J’s attempt was marred by this paperwork problem, leading to her exclusion from the tryout event.

However, there seems to be a silver lining for Haley J. Despite this initial setback, the reports indicate that this isn’t the end of the road for her WWE aspirations. She is expected to receive another tryout opportunity in the future, offering a chance to prove herself to the world’s premier wrestling organization.

OVW’s head booker and part-owner, Al Snow, expressed confidence in Haley J’s abilities and her potential to make it to WWE. He offered words of encouragement to the young wrestler, reminding her not to be disheartened by this temporary setback.

Haley J’s journey in the world of professional wrestling is gaining widespread attention, thanks to her prominent role in Netflix’s “The Wrestlers” documentary series. The show delves into the lives and challenges faced by wrestlers from OVW as they aim to break into the big leagues of the wrestling industry.

In her relatively brief wrestling career, which began in 2020, Haley J has already achieved significant success. She has held the OVW Women’s Championship three times and currently reigns as the champion. She also made appearances in NWA and featured multiple times on “AEW Dark.” Additionally, as a second-generation wrestler, she has been part of OVW storylines alongside her mother, Amazing Maria, a six-time OVW Women’s Champion.

While her WWE tryout didn’t go as planned this time, the future holds new opportunities for Haley J, and the wrestling world will be watching as she continues her journey toward success on a larger stage.
