Haryana Steelers Clinch Nail-Biter, Secure Fourth Consecutive Win in PKL 10

In a thrilling encounter, Haryana Steelers emerged victorious by a slim 2-point margin against Gujarat Giants in PKL 10, marking their fourth consecutive win. The closely contested match showcased the prowess of defenders, with Mohit Nandal securing a high-5 for Haryana.

Despite facing a significant defeat in their first match of the season, Haryana Steelers have turned the tables, propelling themselves to the third position in the points table. Gujarat Giants, on the other hand, slipped to the fourth position after the recent 31-29 defeat.

The spotlight in this match was on the defensive maneuvers, with Fazel Atrachali and Somveer of Gujarat delivering impressive tackles, although falling short in securing a victory. Haryana’s coach, Manpreet Singh, attributed their success to an advanced tackle strategy, emphasizing the importance of limiting Fazel Atrachali’s tackles.

“Our mistake was giving them too many points in raiding. Gujarat’s raiders attempted to break our defense with feint movements, but we improved by adopting an advanced tackle strategy,” stated Manpreet Singh.

In contrast, Gujarat’s coach, Ram Mehar Singh, expressed dissatisfaction with the raiders’ performance, noting defensive mistakes and errors in scoring points. Regarding the strategic decision to play Sonu Jaglan in the playing 7, Singh highlighted the importance of adapting strategies according to the situation.

“It was clear to us that if Rakesh’s points had come, and Sonu Jaglan had also scored points in the end, the situation would have been better for us. However, it didn’t happen, so Haryana got the win. Also, getting technical points did not prove beneficial for our team,” added Ram Mehar Singh.

As Haryana Steelers continue their winning streak, PKL 10 unfolds with unpredictable twists, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
