Patna Pirates have made a major move ahead of the Pro Kabaddi 2023 season, appointing Narender Kumar Redhu as their new head coach. The three-time champions announced the news on their official Instagram account through a special video, exciting fans and supporters alike. With Redhu set to take charge of the team, replacing Ravi Shetty as head coach, the Pirates are looking to go all out in the upcoming tournament. As they continue to strengthen their squad and leadership, the Pirates are confident of achieving even greater success in the years to come.
Meet Narender Singh Redhu, the mastermind behind the Red Army team‘s gold medal at the Sri Lanka Sports Exchange Kabaddi Tournament. Born in Jind, Haryana, Redhu’s passion for sports coaching led him to obtain a diploma in sports coaching (A Grade), certified by NIS. With his extensive knowledge in the field, he also worked as an assistant coach for the Haryana Steelers team in the PKL Season 6. Despite finishing last in the points table that season, Redhu gained valuable experience that he utilized to steer the Red Army team to victory. His dedication and expertise make him a valuable addition to any team in the future.
The Patna Pirates are undoubtedly the most successful team in Pro Kabaddi League history, with three championship titles to their name. However, last year was a difficult season for them as they finished 10th in the standings, failing to even qualify for the playoffs. With the 2022 season looming, the question on everyone’s mind is whether Narender Singh Redhu can help the Pirates win their 4th championship. The team played 22 matches last season, with only eight wins, 11 losses, and three ties. If they had won just a few more games, they would have secured a spot in the top six. With the addition of Redhu to the team, the Pirates will undoubtedly be stronger and more motivated to bring home the championship trophy once again. Can they do it? Only time will tell.
Kabaddi fans have been eagerly awaiting the start of the Pro Kabaddi 2023 season, wondering what new surprises it will bring, especially considering the anticipated arrival of new head coaches. One of the most exciting changes is the appointment of Narender Singh Redhu as head coach of the Pirates. With this being his first time in charge of a PKL franchise, many will be keeping a close eye on how he adapts to the unique challenges of leading a team in the league. Will Redhu maintain the high standard set by the Pirates in previous seasons, or will we see a shift in their game plan? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure – this upcoming season is sure to be full of surprises!
