Telugu Titans vs Puneri Paltan: In the 124th match of PKL season 11, the Telugu Titans defeated Puneri Paltan to remain alive in the playoff race. Star raider Pawan Sehrawat’s dominant performance and defense support helped the Telugu Titans win by 12 points over Paltan.
It was a must-win game for the Telugu Titans to stay in the playoffs hunt. From the first raid of the match, Pawan Sehrawat was straight to business and put his team on the board. The defense started contributing to take the early lead on the home side. Pune’s defense retaliated with the tackle point and closed the gap. Pawan Sehrawat took multiple points in his raids and pushed his team into the lead again.
Though Puneri’s defense was working, it was the raiders who were struggling to get points, due to which, in the 15th minute of the first half, Telugu Titans inflicted the first all-out of the match on Puneri Paltan. The desperation to close the points gap made Pune leak points in defense as Titans further increased the lead. Puneri Paltan was lagging behind 9 points at the end of the first half.
The second half started in Pune’s favor as the home team started closing the points gap with raider V. Ajith’s point raid helped the home team inflict an all-out on the Titans, but Titans’ Pawan Sehrawat and Ashish Narwal retaliated as the Titans returned the favor to inflict another all-out on Puneri Paltan.
In the game’s final minutes, Puneri Paltan tried coming back, but it was hard to close the gap as Telugu Titans won the match.
